Our Why
We are three young men from The Hague, each from a remarkably different background.
The Romanian Raised on a farm in Romania until the age of seven, he moved to the Netherlands, adapting to a completely new culture without forgetting the lessons from his early years. His Christian faith has shaped him into the man he is today.
The Turk Of Turkish-French descent, born and raised in The Hague. He saw firsthand the temptations of taking the wrong path but chose to stay true to his values. Known for his integrity and hard work, he has held various jobs and is always there for his family, friends, and community.
The Dutchman A native of The Hague, he grew up in a busy household with working parents and car rides to badminton every Saturday. Choosing not to pursue further studies, he became a father relatively early and felt compelled to make his mark in the corporate world to support his family. Starting from the bottom, he has worked his way up and is now in a new relationship, with healthy children and ready to contribute more.
In their teenage years, something inexplicable drew them together. Though they drifted apart in their early twenties, they reunited in their thirties as if no time had passed, bringing more life experience to their unchanged dynamic.
The Romanian became an entrepreneur, disillusioned with corporate cultures. He built a popular website, sells advertising space, and freelances in online marketing.
The Turk jumped from job to job, eventually training to install and repair kitchens after a lifetime of clumsiness with tools, now working successfully as a freelancer.
The Dutchman has been with the same company for over a decade, returning after a brief hiatus.
Motivated by a strong desire to improve the world, the Romanian spearheaded an initiative to bring the trio together to expand their impact. They started by growing their own vegetables and fruits, leading to plentiful harvests. They partnered with Vadercentrum in The Hague to distribute the surplus to those in need.
Their shared ethos is to always go beyond what’s necessary, not just for themselves but to help others. They’re now expanding this approach, aiming to inspire more people to take that extra step, even if it’s just one percent more.
The Romanian, leading the charge, grows produce to give away. In the garden where this happens, others also contribute land to increase the sowing and harvesting.
The Turkish kitchen guy noticed that many discard usable appliances from old kitchens. They’ve partnered with Vadercentrum to collect these items from clients and distribute them through the Giveaway Shop.
The Dutchman, as an editor, produces videos on their channel, teaching viewers how to grow their own healthy food both indoors and out. From the Romanian’s garden, they nurture seedlings to give away for free.
And why do we do this? Because we all want the world to be a better place. Because we all want the world to remain accessible to everyone. Because we want to eradicate poverty and hunger. Because we all strive for good health.
Not just as a Romanian, a Turk, or a Dutchman. But together. And hopefully, you too.
